Serious question:

what is the appeal of Selby or Robbo........ neither is easy on the eye in terms of playing style, neither has a nice cue action, both have dodgey records in terms of "win at all cost"....... using whatever tactics and pushing boudaries.

Please let me know what is their appeal...........

Ps I noticed that there were a lot of Asian folk in the crowd last night - so it seems that Leicester with its heavily populated Asian community has taken to Selby (or did he pay for their trip down).

Pps Perhaps the Joker/Jester will paint his face ala Richard Pryor in the Silver Streak. He could then get the black vote too.

Well, both are fine Snooker players (One has a good sense of humour too) +, maybe he does have a big Asian following cos when I was up there last week an Indian guy was fielding for him when he was practicing. Doesn't matter either way does it?

Mike Ganley had a word with Robbo after his match with Gouldy........... disgraceful sport doing what he did - when he did it, but that is the Aussie way I am afraid.

As for Selby his comedy is not appreciated by all, certainly the other players do not ALL like it..... (Hendo looked very amused, I certainly think Dotty will not stand for much of his non-sense either, he is being polite at present but joking is for the club not the WC. This issue arose when he played Dotty last time and Chamberlain was getting ohh too familiar then.......... you heard it here first)

And my stance on fist pumping remains as is.

it seems refs are lenient for everything the ronnie incident and the robbo thing are 2 examples

havnt heard smart mention ronnie's abuse at leo
