Talk about stating the obvious

He's probably just making a point. Ronnie talked smack about Selby, saying he aint got the game to win. Selby responds by saying Ronnie is the favourite. What better way of making the point that Ronnie hasn't gotten to him?

Very clever from Selby. All this talk about Ronnie being the greatest, but Selby knows Ronnie has a big weakness in one of the areas that makes a snooker player great...the mental side of the game, Ronnie falls way short and this is why he hasn't won 7 or more world titles.
At the end of the day the best in any sports - Woods, Federer, Schumacher, Taylor,...they all would have been miles ahead of the field regardless of the field or how good they where. Ronnie is different because he is lacking in a vital part of the game, Selby knows this and has lit the paper...well done
