Stevens has always had a poor recordin best of 9's so the worlds qualifier is a better judgement of his form than a short match against a no hoper who got lucky

I'm hoping for:
Ebbo vs Cope
Robbo vs Trump
MJW vs Wenny
ROS vs Dotty
That would be fantastic for me personally. What ties would you love to see happen in R1 this year.....?

Yep a Hendo vs White tie would be enjoyable for all the history they have.
I'd like Davis to get thru but who would I like him to play, probably someone like Ryan Day.

I am seeing Higgins, Marco Fu, Perry and Carter. So I am hoping one of those players gets a Liang Wenbo, which would be good. Maybe Ken Doherty, as I've not seen him live for a while. Any big name qualifier would be good.

Similarly I am watching Ebbo - so would like to see him play either another player who I dislike (I am guaranteed to be happy with the outcome then):
Wenny
Trump
But would also like Ebbo to face off with Cope. Could be some real fireworks there.

Surely its in the best interests of the WPSBA and the BBC to get the tournament as much publicity in advance, so IMO the draw should revert back to Grandstand (or whatever its called these days

) on a Saturday afternoon (say March 13th) to generate wider pubic interest and awareness, as well as hype the tournament up, rather than it just being anonymously drawn midweek, when the conspircacy theorists will no doubt pour scorn on some of the ties. (Murphy with an easy R1 draw anyone?

)
