a lot of its down to the fact that these guys have turned their noses up at the PTC as they think they can get away without playing in it or taking it that seriously as they earn bigger money and more points at the main events so its a come down for them playing PTCs.
However in time, most will come to realise that in future they will have to take them seriously or they will slide down the rankings.
Mark Allen is a classic example, he missed a lot of the early PTCs and was slagging it off on the 110 site about not exciting him and not really affecting him in terms of rankings, but then when he turned up cold for the World Open last 64 game and got beat suddenly the penny dropped, he was lacking match practice compared to a lot of guys plus his ranking was very precarious. To his credit he entered most of the EPTCs and earned points here and there to improve his ranking and take the heat off himself going into the UK as he no longer has to win his R1 game to remain in the top 16.

I'd feature Selby / Walden as a better game, but Beeb will probably go against this and put defending champ Ding vs Stevens on main.

aye up its a dismal crowd, but one advanatge of that is that if you find yourself anywhere near that cnut then there are plenty of options to move away and still have a grand view
