Is it just Bahrain off in the next cut-off or what ?

Sonny wrote:No wild is the worst, and yes I remember now everton. The urgency of "Quick, he's off the boil, go for the kill" did it for him. Once it was 8-8 that was it.
In 2008 he held Ronnie to 9-7 but he was playing all tournament like he did tonight. Mark hung on to his coat tails, no one else kept that close to him but Ronnie still ran away after that and finished off with a max didn't he?
In the Masters semi Mark played as good as he had for years, the start of the current resurgence if you like. I don't think Mark is scared of Ronnie by any means, he plays his own game and still goes for all the shots. Hopefully they will contest the final because it will be the perfect end to this tournament.
2008 is a bit hazy. You're definitely right with the score because Mark was 9-5 down and I remember thinking Ronnie had missed the boat a bit with it going 9-7, (Ronnie himself admitted that in the after match interview) but then I have this feeling that Mark was actually the better player in the first two sessions.
Anyway its the final I want to see and even as a huge Ronnie fan I want Mark to win the comp because he has had a lovely lady of a draw and if he gets to the final I think he will deserve to win it.

Cheers
Robbo 2-0 can't help but think back to the 4-1 in Shanghai, Walden reeling off 4 frames in a row and Robbo didn't seem to get a sniff, Robbo is a different player since then though.

Williams and Ronnie will both be back in the top 4 if they win their semi-finals tomorrow. John Higgins will be there too. When was the last time 3 of the big 4 were in the top 4?

Was only 18 months or so ago when people were always talking about O'Sullivan, Maguire and Murphy as the big three, how times change.

and Stephen fast turning into the No. 1 commentator in the World.
A complete guess but 2001? Didnt Ebdon move into the top four in 2002 and Higgins moved down to 6th for a bit.

Didnt read that properly at all. Thought you said the big 4 in the top 4
That was 2003/04 season
3 of the big 4 was 2006/07 with Hendry, Higgins and O'Sullivan.
Interestingly Williams was already down to 9th by 2005!
