phew... that wasn't smooth LOL. But well done Ali!
And now he's very close to Robbo in the provisional rankings and could very well overcome him before the cut-off point.

on theire warped 3 year list after EPTC1 Hendry was 12th now hes 11th
Mark Allen was above Hendry after EPTC1 now hes below Hendry after shanghai despite both losing first round in shanghai and got 980 points.
jesus christ they havent a bloody clue and confusing the players in the meantime by calling them official rankings

Well Dave Hendon on twitter was having a discussion with Matt and apparantly WPBSA for some reason have now taken off the points from NIT and Shanghai 2008 but not yet from GP 2008 and they say they will do that after the World Open... Beats me! Why do such a complicated and confusing thing?

i can not for 1 minute think barry hearn is behind this but theres someone somewhere confusing everyone to rubbish.
and Steve Davis whos on the WPBSA should realize that as a player according to world snooker he is 24th and looks safe enough however realistic he plays ebdon first match in the World Open as provisional 31st ...
if mike dunn and bond gets a good draw he could be out of the top 32 easily.

There doing what they do in tennis and are waiting until the corresponding event finishes before they post the updated ranking ie. when the shanghai this yer is over they took 08 off the list and will repeat it for every event when it finishes.

yes that does make sense if they do that i guess and if matt carries on to do it how he does it then the players will know exactly what they got to do to get in the top 48,32 or 16
