On the plus side, they are televising more of the PTCs next year.

lets be fair how would we feel if they cut the end of a snooker match to go to Tennis.
it works both ways doesn't it despite being frustrating
At least, if they stuck to scheduling, you'd expect it coming. Some of us plan our day round watching snooker.

Congratulations to Shaun Murphy who looks like he's finding form just in time for the Crucible after a dodgy first half of the season. He's got his work cut out though in the half of death. I guess in that respect it'd be good if some of the stronger players from the qualifiers like Day and Gould drawn top half just to balance it out a bit.
Unlucky to Gouldy who I always knew was a quality player from the first time saw him against Mark Allen at the Crucible. Two ranking finals now if you count the PTC (both times) but no mean feat to beat Selby today. Gould is one of the few players I'm not gutted about if they beat Selby.

well played murphy he deserves this title but in a way this just typifies what i think of him this might be controversial but murphy not a truely top player he more of a flat track bully when he come up against players like o sullivan williams or higgins who even in their mid thirties i would expect them to beat murphy in big matches and records prove this
he good against the next batch of players yes he won the world and uk title fully deserved as well but his breakbuilding skills a bit suspect for a top class player he nearly always play the wrong cannon or wrong type of shot when developing balls it ok when they all spread out also he doesnt know when to back up his play with safety
im not trying to disrespect him this just an honest opinion if he comes up against any of williams higgins or ronnie at the crucible he will lose whereas you cant really say the same for other top players in his age bracket like ding selby or robertson if they come up against williams higgins or ronnie at the crucible theres a chance they can win
congratulations on the win i hope murphy fans not annoyed with me im just making an honest assessment

Agree
You could think of at least a dozen good talking points during the World Open, for this I can think of about 2.
but the feel of the event was similar matches over to quick.....interval just adds something to a match you dont get when they straight through

I recorded the final and when i watched it it started on frame 3. I thought this was just my sky box being a sausage but was this when Eurosport started the programe
Anyway Murphy is around 13/1 to win his second World Title. Sounds like a great price considering how well he played last week.
Murphy and Higgins each way

It came on 40 minutes late, because some tennis overran.
