Ronnie O'Sullivan was still a good player when you last won a title, shows how times have changed

Would people here consider the finals a full ranking event? I certainly think it should be...

if stevens wins it yes
That's exactly what I was getting at
if he doesn't I consider it a tin pot title

I certainly think as the years will go by, all the players will begin to realise that these PTCs are worth competing in if they want to keep their ranking steady. Unfortunately, a total lack of promotion and exposure, along with an unwillingness to comply from the likes of Ronnie, Robbo & Ding have let the whole thing down...
But I have faith in the PTCs, and expect them to improve in prestige...

i understand it peoples own choice if they want to take part or not it about trade off and priorities players can play in these ptcs for various reasons being fussed to turn up winning ranking points playing themselves into form getting confidence up bit more prize money etc etc
conversely they may not want to turn up because they may want a rest they not too bothered about ranking points as they safe they may not want to be burnt out for bigger events by turning up to these ptc eventstoo much travelling commitments etc etc
i like these ptc events but what i like about these most is players get a choice if they want to turn up or not and the consequences one way or another there for all to see
in the case of stevens i think he now pretty much guaranteed his top 16 position for start of next season

Evening guys, been busy today so didn't watch any Snooker, but I have to say great Semi Final line up. Like Gould, like Stevens and I like Selby, but Murphy have to hand it to him he has been a class above the rest in the PTC events so consistent.

This would be huge for Stevens were he to win it... it's the first time I've felt confidence in him for about five years.
