davehendon David Hendon
For winning the PTC Stephen Lee has been awarded a hamper full of pies. This is not a joke.

When Ding won the UK they gave him hundreds of Pukka Pies which he promptly donated to a homeless centre.
I presume we can expect a similar gesture from Lee?

Fingers crossed he does turn up, I think the best remedy for him would just be to get out there and do what he does best

a word on the academy/streaming of this event.
the Academy in Gloucester did themselves Proud with this event and showed how to put on a Great show.
i believe the World Championship Qualifiers should be Brought to Gloucester This season. it would be a travesty for the sport if those are played behind closed doors in Sheffield and where better to hold those Qualifiers than at the SWA.

It sounds perfectly feasable to me. If not this season then next season.

i think it would be cheaper than converting the badminton hall in sheffield to a snooker venue like they have been doing last few years.
Tables,Lighting,man power etc
at the SWA everything is in place just pay a fee for the use of the Academy.
otherwise nobody will get to go to watch qualifying for the WC this season.
