10 years ago maybe, but now
10 years ago he did not need motivation to grind people in to the ground .
Well that's one way of looking at it, but i'm referring to his sheer ability to do so, and these days I don't see that.

i cant help but think Daniel Wells been unlucky with his time on tour if he had been on the Main Tour this season he would have been shooting up those Rankings. he would have earned about 4,000+ ranking points from the PTC Alone

And he's not defending much at all from the 08/09 season so maybe top 2 is a possibility for the worlds

Robbo only made one Worlds QF in his first four appearance and it was that fifth one where he made the semis where he gained all the confidence that he needed to break through the next year, Ding will be playing his fifth Worlds next season so I see no reason why he can't get that monkey off his back and get to the one-table set-up in 2011

well Higgins has a mountain to defend at the end of the season World Championship and China Open Runner up.
The problem is he will fall down the rankings but in two years time when he has nothing to defend he will probably shoot straight back up again so his ranking will be pretty false.
Also they say the rankings don't lie and the current prov. top 4 looks spot on with 5-8 definitely the supporting cast over the last 18 months or so.

not really false its how it is and that also depends on winning matches to get back up....
yes he will be winning matches but will it be to the 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 standards thats still to be seen.

Walden v Gould - pretty evenly matched I would think. I'll be keeping an eye on the scores there.
Dott is level with Perry and scoring at 3-3
Ding got a century in frame 1 but it's 1-1 with Bighands
Trump won with a century, the last live score was 122 which is a maximum score but the refresh is so slow he had time to get to 147 before it refreshed at 4-2
And Gould has taken the opener against Walden
