i do think though this is very poor indeed not having someone operating Live Scoring at least this is a Ranking Event for god sakes it should be about more than just Jobs for players.

god all you need is 8 people with fingers after today there will be 22 people at a lose end .

it is very important the PTC is done right from the off i can understand no live for qualifiers but im concerned that will become the norm and the doubters will start to be sausage heads.

i want live feed but if this continues i cant see that ever happening.

Bracel playing Fu i know i cant see it but it would be interesting to see how he gets on 10 am tomorrow morning.

It's not me saying it, it was Janie Watkins. It's quite common in amateur or ladies competition that there is one ref for several tables, so players ref themselves unless there is something that requires more skill or if they don't agree.
I think we should be patient and "forgiving" for this PTC. The main objective is to get the players playing, the fan needs come next. I have no doubt they will be addressed later.

i disagree to some extent players playing is good but Snooker is a entertainment and competitive sport so everything that can be done regarding this very important cog in the sport of snooker has got to try and be fan friendly as well.

ive seen a lot written today regarding whats the point of the PTC if we as fans got no interaction in it ive tried to defend it saying its early days however there is no excuse for not having live scores working on this.

hes far from the finished article of course, he played decent in a big amateur event a few months back (the one Blaine Hendry also played in) plus he can only improve practicising with the Master.

ill be honest i know very little about him as a player but i do know what martin can do.

my theory is that there will be a good few shocks this weekend because the pro players might be caught cold as they may well have been taking it easy over the summer and not used to starting proper matches so early in the summer, therefore there practice may be minimal and they may infact be using the PTC as match practice for the new season, wheras the amatuers will be fired up at the chance to claim the scalp of a main tour pro and make a name for themselves so they will be more in the zone from the off.

Complacency also a factor if the pro turns up against someone hes never heard of he might think, this is gonna be a stroll in the park....

looking forward to see how these will pan out the first event wont prove much but by the 4th one the shape of how it going will be clear.

I'm expecting a few shocks also. Some top pros like Ronnie haven't played in similar conditions for more than 15 years. Ronnie was saying recently he was feeling a bit like he was going back to his 16th and qualifs in Blackpool again. The prospect excited him but that doesn't mean he will adjust to it right away. And the same is true for others.

i don't expect Andrew Pagent to beat Ronnie though and yes a few shocks might be happening first Round but not many i expect the shocks to happen next round or last 32.
