So Liang Wenbo needs to get his skates on if he's not to miss out on another Masters this year too. I suppose he could still wait until the Shanghai but that's cutting it a bit fine.

I think it's quite interesting that in spite of the shorter format, the final was still contested by two highly established players: Mark Williams & Stephen Maguire. O'Sullivan, Cope and Marco Fu also performed well. I think that over 12 events, the best players will ultimately be the most consistent and rise to the top.

Best of 7s makes a hell of a lot of difference if it was best of 5s it would be more of a lottery.

I see on Global snooker in the rankings that they still have John Higgins as number one in the provisional rankings with Ronnie on 47835 ranking points at N0 2 with his 1000 rainking points added on from the PTC 1 event,

what as happen to the one year least after last Season when Ding was N0 1 going into the new season at N01 in the provisional rankings with 27200 ranking points and Ronnie is at N0 4 on this list on 25360 ranking points at the start of the new season, and with the 1000 points added on I make him on 24360 points at the start of the season, and with the 1000 points added on from the ptc 1 event takes him to 25360 points and Mark Williams the winner of event one on 25480 points while u have him on 34,580, can someone explain the new points system, I have read in snooker scene that the 2008 Shangi Masters points earned will be removed after the 2010 event has been conclued is this correct and last years one year ranking list will not be used where Ding is the provisional one, hope u can help me and i hope i haven't confused u all too much
