i think also 5-4 is fair
surprisingly Ding has outplayed mark with his safety play.
he has improved so much as a tactician since he won his first UK in 2005.

That'll be second session.
5-4 definitely fair result. Both players playing great stuff. Should be a great climax this afternoon.

i think the winner will come from those you mentioned but murphy has had a very poor season losing 3 first rounders (same as last season but he had a UK Last season) which has him at 19th in the 1 year list with Mark Davis and the Return of Doherty ahead of him at 16 and 13 respectively so he got important buisness in sheffield to salvage something.

My top 5 -
1. Higgins
2.Selby
3.Ronnie
4.Ding
5.Murphy
I am a fan of Robbo but I feel I have to rule him out. He has only got past the QF stage of 1 tournament this season, the GP which he won. He has faced some tuff draws early on in tournaments which have knocked his confidence, I can't see him getting it back before the Worlds unfortunately.
Higgins should coast to the final, well in theory anyway

Not ahead of O'Sullivan v Williams or the winner v Selby. Anyway, Robbo probably won't get past Higgo

I think Higgins, O'Sullivan and Williams are the favourites for the title. Selby's draw is dreadful and I don't think he has the mental strength to beat Doherty, Hendry, O'Sullivan/Williams and then another two players in superb form (let's say Allen and Higgins for example) consecutively. Ding is playing very well right now but he doesn't have enough experience at the Crucible.
And great first session of the today's final, Ding is playing nearly perfect snooker, but I want Williams to win this. Come on Mark!

I see we are all enjoying the final so much, that we are discussing a tournament two weeks away, before the tournament has even finished.

Why not get carried away? Williams is awesome! 61 from Ding, miss, bang 66 clearance from Williams to take the lead 6-5
