I think Allen will lose. He has a lot of pressure on him given where he is in the rankings (15th) and he has struggled in best of 9's.
King gets a nice draw again.

if drago wins a frame its time Ryan Day packs his bags and goes window cleaning.

We're sitting top of the leaderboard
Unfortunately I can't see Drago beating Day but I would love it to happen.

If Day plays like he did at the Masters, the match will be over in 20 minutes. More pressure on the Welshman. Drago said that the top 8 is not as strong as it was 10 years ago and he's there to prove it. One of the so-called stars of today cannot intimidate The Boss

That could be a good call actually. Tom Ford is tough opposition. I think Allen will win but wouldn't be surprised if he's turned over. And how does King manage to avoid the dangerous players event after event?
You're a man of many stats Alex0paul - who has he faced in round 1 of the last few tournaments?
For comparison get Selby:
Walden (Worlds)
Bingham (Shanghai, ok not the most dangerous looking draw but he lost)
Doherty (Grand Prix)
Cope (UK)
Ding (Masters)
Trump (Welsh)
he's bound to get Cope, Trump or Wenbo at the Crucible

Walden's no easy draw. He had McLeod at the Crucible I remember - what a grindathon that was, on the first day too just when snooker needed to project an image.
When was the last time there was a decent match on day 1 of the World Championships? Hallett v Taylor?

Lee (UK) Lost 9-8 despite 4 centuries
Higgins (Masters) Lost to Selby in the Quarters
Ford (Welsh)
Murphy is the king of getting kind draws. Not only does he get a comfortable last 32 match he tends to get an out of form top 16er in the last 16.

I was meaning King but it's interesting to see Allens progess. I didn't see his UK match with Lee. 4 centuries and lost? Don't remember that at all. I must've been following the BBC Snooker site for reports
